Learning Intentions

Learning Intentions are used across all classes at Kidman Park. Teachers develop learning intentions across the curriculum which guide teaching and learning. Students in the Early Years are then provided with individualised learning goals to target their learning needs. Older students create their own learning goals for Maths, English, Education Research Projects and for Social/Wellbeing. Developing learning intentions and goals allows students to clearly articulate an area that they are striving to improve in or further develop. Learning goals provide students with an appropriate level of challenge. They can help track student progress, provide feedback and assess achievement. Learning Intentions and goals are shared in many different ways, sometimes on the wall, sometimes on their desk, or even filmed on Seesaw to be shared with families.
